My garden has been pretty much neglected this summer. I think maybe neglect is what it needed because holy crap check out my squash. I might sound nutty, but I'm really proud. Satch helped me plant this squash and both he and Em pull weeds, so maybe they deserve the credit.

Swim Team

Satch and Em were both in swim team again this summer. They have practice every morning, and swim meets on the weekends...not Emmy anymore I guess. It is awesome and Satch and Em have become great swimmers, and by the end of the summer are sporting some neon green hair...anyone have any remedies for that. Anyway Satch had a swim meet last Saturday. It was pure torture for Emmy. Satch did really well. He got a 2nd place ribbon in freestyle, a 3rd in backstroke, and two 4ths, one in breastroke, and one in a relay he did with three other boys. Every kid gets a ribbon for each event they take part in. Last year at their first meet Satch was so disappointed when he got out of the water and was given a purple ribbon. He tried to be tough and hold it together, until his next event when he took 5th place which happened to be a pink ribbon. I could see it coming...and was hoping he would slow down just a tad. He stepped out of the water and started sobbing. I felt bad for him, but it was a little funny.

The Cow

At Kenyon's request I need to write a little disclaimer. Under our heading "Fausett Family" I've typed a kind of description of each of us. I use to be "the bun warmer" but since I am no longer warming a bun, I needed a new one. Kenyon thinks "the cow" is a little much, but lets be brutally honest. All you mommies who've nursed know it is not glamorous, in fact far from it. Not only do I have two jugs of warm milk making me a hot mess...literally, my life revolves around the next time I will be "milked"...(sorry about all the quotation marks). Oh and truthfully I don't smell much better than a heffer. So sorry Ken and all those I may offend, just keepin it real.

*#!@!!!

Yes...it has happened again. Same arm, same break. Actually this is Emmy's third broken arm and all three have happened in the same way. She has fallen and caught herself palm down and broken her radius. Last night she was playing on my exercise ball (somebody's got to use it right?). She took a belly dive on it and caught herself...on carpet, so we didn't think it was broken, but this morning she was still hurting and it was a little swolen so Kenyon took her took get it x-rayed this afternoon. Our summer of swimming is officially disrupted...for then next 4 weeks anyway.

Today we went to the sprayground. Satch and Em think they are a little too refined for it, but it is Willy's favorite. Really anything that involves water and food is Willy's favorite. Emmy decided to get in for awhile (this was pre-cast) although she was hurting, and Satch was content to just sit and eat Doritos.

Wren slept through the whole thing. Dig those lips!

Em caught a snail

Em and Satch weren't quite so patient. They were playing in the water after just a few minutes.
I am so sick of my house I could puke, so I talked Kenyon into camping this weekend. I know you are all shocked that there are mountains in New Mexico, but here is proof. Willy waited patiently for an hour for a bite that never came.

I'm back...although it might be short lived. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't feel like laying in bed all day. This c-sections has been a killer. So....I was browsing tonight on some friends of ours blog. They are photographers, and have taken pictures of our kids a lot. They wanted to take some pictures of me before the baby came and I really didn't want to. I'm not a huge fan of having my picture taken, and you know I've been trying to stay away from cameras as much as possible the past few months. Well I lost. These are just a few of the pictures. Their website is listed on my "Pals" under jones photo art. They do amazing work. I'll post more pictures of Wren as soon as I get them downloaded.
